歐洲5日再度出現假炸彈威脅事件，多達27個航班受到干擾，部分飛機被迫臨時降落，義大利還出動軍機執行護航任務。保加利亞機場主管佩夏夫指出，飛機緊急降落後，佩洛迪夫機場隨即進入警戒狀態，緊急應變團隊也進駐現場，進行必要的決策。
包括保加利亞、丹麥、波蘭和羅馬尼亞等多個國家都接獲炸彈威脅信件，寄件者自稱是「男性國家的戰士」，並表示已在來自赫爾辛基和都柏林的入境航班上放置爆裂裝置，將在60分鐘內爆炸。雖然後來證實只是虛驚，但已經讓機場秩序大亂。羅馬尼亞乘客描述，當時所有行李都接受檢查，檢查人員使用某種試紙擦拭行李箱內部，並對乘客進行人身安全檢查。
3日也有7架航班及1艘郵輪接獲假炸彈威脅。外界懷疑莫斯科是這起混合攻擊事件的幕後黑手，而英國則認為是伊朗在操作，不過俄羅斯和伊朗都否認涉及這些事件。

A LOT flight from London Heathrow to Warsaw was diverted to Warsaw-Modlin airport, which briefly closed and has resumed normal service. An SAS flight from Copenhagen landed at Warsaw-Chopin, where Polish authorities said the threat was not confirmed. A Ryanair flight from Manchester landed at Murcia, Spain, at 9:50 a.m. UK time. On Monday, a Wizz Air flight from London to Sofia was diverted to Budapest after a bomb threat. An Israeli outlet reported that authorities suspect a coordinated hoax and that the LOT flight carried Jewish students; I found no official confirmation of either.
